The River Fund is an organization founded in 1990 by spiritual philanthropist Ma Jaya. It is a non-profit international organization dedicated to providing direct care and spiritual and educational support to people living with or affected by HIV/AIDS. The River Fund is 100% volunteer based, with every dollar raised going directly to the cause.
"God Bless the Child" is an event designed to specifically support one project of The River Fund, the "Mas Orphans Providence Home" in Tororo, Uganda. With the aid of The River Fund, the orphanage serves 986 young people, providing them with food, shelter, security, education, and access to medical treatment.
The Rectory paired up with The River Fund to "help create awareness regarding the intensity of the pandemic of the HIV/AIDS virus in other countries, especially Africa," says coowner Jimmy Moore.
Described by Florida Style and Life Magazine as a vortex of "Rock and Roll Religion," The Rectory is more than a Delray Beach retail store; it is truly an experience for the, body, home and soul. Owners Jimmy Moore, Joyce Friend and Judith Redden host collections from over fifty designers, with South Florida exclusives on many of the lines.
